Last night it got down to 18 here. I was reading the news, and read that we were as cold as New York last night!
So far this year our weather has been pretty mild. But it looks like Monday and Tuesday will be our coldest day of the year. I hope that’s the worst of it for us.
This is COLD for Georgia! 🙂
Our power flickered for a few seconds last evening, but we haven’t had a problem with it since then.
It is so reassuring to know that if the electricity does go out, we got the furnace fixed in the Casita, so we could camp out snug as a bug in there.
Hope everyone is staying warm and happy!

/ January 3, 2014I’ve had the urge to camp out in the Casita, too! The water system is winterized, but everything else still works!
I think any mushrooms we may have had are frozen solid… and it will probably be a while before I see more. But as soon as the weather permits, I’ll be out checking!
BTW, mushrooms ARE low carb! I am so glad! 😀

/ January 3, 2014Well, it just wouldn’t be right if Georgia didn’t share in the cold weather bounty. Snuggle, bundle, and stay warm.

/ January 4, 2014Yep, it is COLD!!!! I really don’t like being cold either. Hopefully, this will be the “big” blast for the year. You are so right…isn’t it comforting to know we have the Casita if power goes out. We would be snug and warm in there. Yea!!
Stay warm!!

/ January 4, 2014Gerri, now they are saying it is going to get down to 4 degrees Monday. That’s kind of exciting and scary for me because that will be the coldest I’ve ever experienced.
I used to think it would be so cool to live in a teepee. I don’t anymore! 😀
Someday I hope we can park our little Casitas side by side for a couple of days!

/ January 6, 2014Gene, I would never make it up there. I’ve read that a joke up there is that the cold keeps the riffraff out. Well, it works for me! 😀
Do stay warm and I hope you are safe.

/ January 8, 2014Allaboutsmall, I noticed one evening that we were the same temperature as NY. That was strange!
A couple of nights ago it got down to FOUR here. I believe that’s an all time record. It sure did wreak havoc since we are not prepared for those temperatures! 🙂

/ January 8, 2014Yup, if you’re area isn’t used to it, bad weather can pull the rug out from you.
I remember one time it snowed a 1/2 inch in Vegas and there were car accidents and damage, and injured people everywhere!!!
