I Love My Blog Visitors

birddanceI use my blog as a journal so I can go back and remember places I’ve been and events that I would otherwise forget.

Tonight, I couldn’t sleep, and I was feeling a bit nostalgic.  So I went back and read some of the old posts.

The best part was reading all the comments from so many of you.

You encouraged me to keep Sheba, and suggested things to make raising a puppy easier when I was ready to give up.  You comforted me when my sister died, and when Julia died.  You helped me cope when I jacknifed the truck into the camper.  You taught me how to wire my fan and made so many helpful suggestions with my mods.

You encouraged me through the endless winter when it seemed we’d never get out camping again.  You empathized with my gray skies/rainy weather blahs.

You shared my joy in taking photos — like the adorable beach rat in Fort Pickens and countless other nature shots from camping trips — and from our woods and on our property.  It actually increases my enjoyment in what I’m seeing and doing when I know I have you to share it with.

I just want you all to know that you aren’t just clicks on my posts or comments on the bottom of a page.

You are treasures.

I long for your blog in more ways than one. The day I grabbed your mods you opened up your big huge heart for me. You’re taught me about nature and friendship…and not sure I’d be where I am without you! May I offer you even half of what you supported me with Sharon… Xxoo

  2. We started our blog last year as a way to keep a record of our retirement travels. Figured when we’re drooling on ourselves in a retirement home, we can go back and play the “remember when?” game? Your blog always encourages me to pick up a hammer or a drill (or a camera). Thanks for your frequent posts – we’re finally getting out for a week of camping, so hope to post a bit as well.

    • I LOVE that…. “drooling on ourselves in a retirement home.” 😀

It’s amazing how much you forget if you don’t have it recorded. A blog is the ultimate “remember when” memory jog.

I love your blog adventures because they are always so active and let me vicariously experience a world beyond my quiet camping style. Looking forward to your next post!

Thanks! I love reading your blog. Even tho I don’t always comment, I wouldn’t miss A post. Your projects and thoughts/pics of nature are especially interesting to me. I think of you as a dear friend and have a feeling our camping paths will cross one of these days. ❤

    • Tim, your help with our Sheba dilemma was priceless. You gave me an out in case I needed it. And your gentle, encouraging help with the wiring and other projects was so greatly appreciated…. because you didn’t push me, and you let me build up my confidence at my own pace.

      Thank you. 🙂

    • Emily, I have watched your heroic efforts to get your house ready for sale, and am so looking forward to your move — and your chance to take Eggie out for a spin.

Thanks again for your invitation to visit if we are ever out there! What a gift! 🙂

    • Gerri, I knew I would like you when I first found your blog last year. Your photo of the chapel at Calloway sticks especially vividly in my mind. It must remind me of somewhere else I’ve been on a subconscious level.

Are you still happy with the Casita? Are you going to take it out again soon? I think we’ll have to head west to escape the rainy days. 🙂

    • Lynne, I loved your blog when I found your posts about your trips out West. I am SO GLAD you decided to update it with your trips since then. Very selfishly, I enjoy “traveling” with you.

You have already put a bee in my bonnet about traveling out West. I might even overcome my fear of desert wandering and make it out there someday because of you.

And as much as crowds distress me, I am SO GLAD I met you in person at the Cherokee rally! Hoping we can meet again soon. 🙂

    • Horst, what a pleasant surprise to see you here. I have enjoyed reading your comments on other blogs and have loved your “Horst sends” signature since I first saw it on the Casita boards a long time ago!

It really makes me happy that you have enjoyed reading my blog and following the mods-that-sometimes-border-on-disaster. 😀

Thanks for commenting and for your kind words.

As I’ve commented before, I find you a very talented lady in a number of fields. Someone who will tackle installing a roof vent one day, and go into the woods to find ingredients for dinner on another, is fascinating to me. Still looking forward to our paths crossing one day.

    • We saved a seat for you at the party. 🙂

Jerry, I would love so much to spend some time around a campfire with you and Wanda and Sally. And if Wanda is very patient, I might bring along my long-neglected ukulele.

As you know, I am very uncomfortable in crowds, so probably won’t do any more rallies. But anytime we are in the same vicinity, I would love for us to get together!
