Feeling Great Again

After yesterday’s dismal post, I didn’t want to leave you worrying about my health.

I went in for the stress test today.  It wasn’t fun, but I did okay.  As I was walking out of the hospital, I realized I felt FANTASTIC.

My doctor has been after me to exercise more, but I haven’t been very good about doing it because I feel like I can’t get enough air.  But I realized, after the stress test and the REALLY deep breathing that it required, I had gotten a lot more oxygen in my system than usual, and I couldn’t believe the energy and feeling of well-being I experienced.

So…..  Now I know that getting exercise isn’t just something that I am “supposed” to do.  It’s magic!

So, between thunderstorms tomorrow, I will get the window put in.  Now I am chomping at the bit to get it done!

  4. Ommmmmm BREATH!!! Had to give you a boost just passing on through the stress test – WAHOO! Maybe some chair yoga….my yoga and pilates classes taught me much about just breathing exercises. For one, you organs love you for it :O) Eight breaths in….eight low ones out!

  6. Glad to hear it was nothing major. We would all do better with more exercise, but it’s hard to do here in the hot, muggy, South.

    • I’ll probably use the indoor exercise bike except on evenings when it’s cool enough to get out and walk the dogs. Or maybe I should start getting up at daybreak and doing that then.

      I’m looking forward to trails in the mountains in July!

    • I had no idea that was the root of my feeling so crappy before. I’m planning to do deep breathing exercises morning and evening, too.
