Between thunderstorms we’ve made decent progress on the yard work. Still have a way to go, though. Ron’s planning to pressure wash the house next week — if we get a break in the rain!
We are hoping to squeeze in a camping trip before Sunny and Sheba’s next vet visit on the 7th.
So since I have no camping news, I’ll just post a few pictures taken around our property. Hope you enjoy them. 🙂

Bunnies. Usually they stay at the edge of the yard and Sunny and Sheba don’t notice them. But when they do, the chase is on!

/ May 18, 2013What a lovely orange rose! It’s similar to the one I see out my bedroom window in my neighbor’s yard.
We are enjoying the yard but not killing ourselves in it like we did in the past.
Hope you have a great outing!

/ May 18, 2013Those roses are amazing, Lynne. They were just cheap roses from Walmart that we got several years ago. They never get diseases and come back better every year. The orange one is my favorite, too. When the sun hits it right, it looks fluorescent.
We, too, are doing the minimum on our yard this year. Our heart is in going and camping!

/ May 18, 2013I’m low carbing again. No cobbler unless I can cobble (heehee) a recipe using coconut or almond flour and Splenda! The camping trip is what’s keeping me going now. I’ve got the stay-at-home blues! 🙂

/ May 18, 2013Tropicana is one of my favorite roses, too. For me it’s a happy memory of a dear friend who’s gone to the garden in the sky 🙂

/ May 18, 2013Same with me, Marcia. My friend’s name was Miriam. Thanks for reminding me. I had almost forgotten the connection after all these years. 🙂

/ May 18, 2013I love that Tropican Rose! The red is also beautiful. Growning roses for me is not happening with traveling back and forth. So I will enjoy looking at yours. Hope you get to go camping soon.

/ May 18, 2013Jo, those roses take care of themselves. They seem to thrive on neglect.
We are definitely looking forward to getting away soon!
Love your new truck!

/ May 19, 2013Beautiful roses. My very first blue ribbon at a rose show was with a bloom of Tropicana. You certainly have an award winning bloom!

/ May 19, 2013We get such a kick out of watching the bunnies. Sometimes we get deer, but usually Sheba barks at them and they run. The dogs usually don’t even see the rabbits until they hop.
