Nice Weather, at Last!

Beautiful weather finally arrived, and today was a day worth waiting for!

I’ll let the pictures tell the story today.  🙂

Coots amid water lily pods

I believe that these little lilies are atamasco lilies. There were several clusters of them along the very short trail.

Wood sorrel

Picnic shelter and Spanish moss

Looking toward our campground loop

I don't have my mushroom books with me, so have no idea what this polyphore is. It somewhat resembles the turkey tail fungus.

The lily pods again

Redbuds, I think

Not sure what these are

And finally -- how to cram a camper dish drainer to max capacity! 😀

S, I love the last picture. You have done the physically impossible. I have that same dish drainer. 😉

    • I came by it honestly. We were a family of 8 and I had to do the dishes… so I learned to stack them to high heaven! 😀

  2. Glad the weather cleared up and you went on a nice walk.

Everything was going along so nicely until you reminded me I should be doing dishes!

I’m so glad to hear that the sun is shining on you now and you can enjoy the outdoors once again! Love all the spring-like photos.

(We won’t even have a dish drainer in WREN…I figure we’ll do it the old-fashioned way and dry them!!! ;-))

    • Hazel, I usually dry them and put them away, but it’s nice to have a place to put them after I rinse them. And I was thrilled to discover that I COULD carry a little dish drainer under the sink. Sure couldn’t get away with that in the Aliner!

Glad you liked the photos. We are pretty low key, and nature provides most of the entertainment we need. I’m sure it would bore most people to tears! 🙂
