Ron and I have been running all day packing, shopping, and doing last minute fixes on the trailer. The dog is bathed, Cokes and water are on ice in the cooler, tires are aired up, the grill is cleaned….
I’m in the middle of fitting a new shower curtain, then all that is left is to pack the refrigerator. We’ll pack our toiletries first thing in the morning after our showers.
It has been a job trying to figure out where to put things in the Casita. There’s plenty of storage space, but I need to find ways to maximize my usage of it. I knew without thinking exactly where everything went in the Aliner. I’m sure I’ll feel that way about the beautiful little Casita soon!

/ November 18, 2011Terry, right now I’m just packing things where they will fit. After this trip, I’ll add some shelves and drawers and think things through a little better!
I’m still fighting with that shower curtain tonight! 🙂

/ November 19, 2011I thought of you today as we took a quick 2-hour trip up to Erie from our home in Pittsburgh on this beautiful blue-sky day, just to look at the Lake and drive around Presque Isle! The ‘call of the road’ is strong for me, also, and I understand your desire to travel! We came home at dinner time, and it gets dark too soon these days! I don’t like not seeing the scenery when driving!
Have a GREAT trip, and hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving! I’ll be interested in hearing about your ‘maiden voyage’ in the Casita!

/ November 19, 2011Kathy, it’s a love for being outdoors and seeing what’s around the next bend, isn’t it? Staying inside (and in the same place) feels stifling to me.
So glad you had a beautiful day to get out and enjoy the scenery. Hope it lingers long in your memory! 🙂
