Noisy Night

As tired as we were, it was very late before we got to sleep last night.

There was only one other campsite occupied at Roosevelt State Park in MS last night.  We had asked for a pull through so I wouldn’t have to try to back into a site in the dark, so ended up next to the other camper.

They shot off fireworks, played loud music and just generally wreaked havoc with our hopes for a good night’s rest.  They also left their fire smoldering all night… and this morning a park employee told us they had built their fire on the pad instead of in the fire ring.

We will be getting out much later than we had hoped.  Ron is heading for the shower now at 10:30 a.m.  And we still have to wash all the red clay mud off the trailer from where we got stuck yesterday, or else I am afraid an RV park won’t let us in tonight.

Pictures will have to wait.

So we probably won’t make a lot of distance.  Hope we can make it close to Shreveport.  If not, it’s not the end of the world.  (I hope.)  🙂
