Unexpected Trip to Florida

My sister Joan died unexpectedly Thursday, so we are on our way home to Florida instead of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Here is a photo taken the last time I saw her while we were camping at Mom’s place this spring.

So very sorry to hear this, you are in my thoughts and prayers……..we just had the funeral for my father this past Saturday.
May the wonderful memories of your sister make your heart a little lighter during this difficult time. Thinking of you, be safe, Peggy

  4. Thanks so much, Peggy. The memories of how funny and sweet Joan was keep popping up and make us smile. She was a treasure and I’m so glad that we had her as long as we did.

I also am so sorry about your loss of your father.

Someone told me something years ago that has stuck with me and really helps in times like these. He said, “You never really lose those you love. They live forever in your heart and will always be a part of who you are.”

So it will be with your Dad, I hope.

Take care, and again, thank you.
